My eyesight is shot to hell. I’m at a -8.75 as of May 2018….. I’m strongly considering laser eye surgery if i get the funds for it. I literally thought I was the only person whose eyesight was almost as bad as mine. Your video made me tear up; I’m so happy for you. Stay blessed.

I got lasik 6 days ago and it was the scariest thing ever. Everything went well, thankfully. But I wish I looked it up to see what I set myself up for, because in the moment nothing was being explained so everything kept catching me by surprise. I freaked out at every little thing being done. Everything went by fast and once it got to the other eye, I struggled less and it was faster. The best thing is being able to see without glasses, being able to read street signs, being able to look up at the clock and see the time, the list goes on. I would do it again.

Being able to not wear glasses and see must be awesome, but I’m way too afraid of the procedure to even consider it :O My sight is not as bad as yours too and I don’t mind wearing glasses, so I guess it doesn’t help! 😛 The part where you describe how the cut your eye open, I just can’t, it’s freaking me out! It was interesting to hear your experience though!

Thank you, thank you, thank you for making this video! My prescription was close to a -8 and this helped me finally make the decision to get a consultation and schedule the surgery. It was especially helpful to hear that for the first week (and especially the first three days) it was normally for my vision to fluctuate. You’re really helping me understand the process and to be more patient with what to expect. (Not that my doctors weren’t fabulous with that, but the process is so quite that you really don’t get a lot of time to process what the doctors say.)

I LOVE your reactions!!!!! You are adorable! I recently had LASIK and so far it is incredible! There aren’t many positive LASIK and PRK reviews on Youtube so I found this very refreshing! ??

As someone who has -5.5 vision and got glasses in 3rd grade, this video made me get teary eyed at the end when she talked about how she could just SEE. I’m always terrified about what would happen if I was in an emergency situation and didn’t have my glasses or contacts.

Oh man, things get put into perspective when you lose or break your only pair of glasses and realize how incredibly important having vision is! This happened to me not too long ago and I felt stuck. I could barely function for the week it took to get my new pair (they shattered so I couldn’t just fix it either). I want to get the surgery as I have also worn glasses since grade 3 and my vision is only getting worse but I’m very scared.

I had PRK surgery done a year ago. Best decision ever!! I was also at a -6. They gave me Valium and I still had a panic attack…they had to take me off the surgery table and sit me in a room until I was calm enough to try again. And day two was rough.. literally! It felt like I had sand in my eyes. But I have perfect vision now so it was totally worth it!!

I’m -5.75 and -6. I feel your pain. I hate it 🙁 if there were a fire and I couldn’t get my glasses quick enough or couldn’t find them- that scares me. I can’t see well enough to coordinate running by a long shot.

I’m not sure my anxiety could ever overcome the surgery but I’m so happy it’s worked out so well for you! Sounds like the results are slow but completely amazing! Congrats! XOKK

Oh man, the whole bit at the end where you just ran through things and kept yelling, “And I could SEE!” makes me want to get laser eye surgery, even though the bit where you described it was pure horror. I want to be able to get up in the morning and just SEE and go overnight to places without checking and double checking I have my contact stuff with me, and urgh, not getting horrible dry tired eyes from wearing contacts too long would be amazing.

This is such a great video! It’s hilarious, it’s informative, especially for someone who is hoping to get lasik surgery done sometime in the future, and it’s very detailed. Thanks for trying it first!
