To the person who is reading this:

You don’t have to hide your broken pieces because it is with the broken pieces of that the lord constructs his glory. You are amazing. You are important. You are gifted. God is not done with your dreams. God is not done with you.

I’m actually in the medical field and glasses protect the eyes. So if I were to try this I’d probably forget and constantly be exposed to all kinds of harmful stuff. I’m team “stay 4 eyes” too.

Yes, the Dr. was very knowledgeable and he took time to make sure that you understood what’s going on. I love health professionals who teach their patients with as much simplicity as possible. (May consider him when I FINALLY muster up the courage to do mine). Go, Chizi!! ?

I got LASIK about 3 years ago an my prescription was -6.00 in one eye the other was -7.25 and had an astigmatisms (for reference) and it was the best thing i ever spent money on. Follow every instructing given!! I almost forget i used to wear glasses and contacts if you’re reading this choose a right person and DO IT

Gnarly Jada that is good to know. I’ll shop around and hopefully find a great one. I don’t mind having glasses later in life. I just hope that they aren’t as thick and heavy as the ones I grew up wearing. And I want to swim without worrying about ruining my contacts

    2. Gnarly Jada

Misti Fire i haven’t heard that one but i think i paid around 2.5k i can’t remember exactly and i know i will still suffer from aging eyes but i can take some readers in 30 years no problem plus some places let you have a free surgery if it ever needs to be readjusted so always ask

    3. Misti Fire

I’m glad you shared your vision prescription. My eyes are the exact same and I want to get the surgery. They say it cost more the more nearsighted you are. But I really want to do it. On my bucket list before I turn 40?

As much as our mamas are dramatic af.. there’s truth it in. Its a scary risk. Going from seeing correctly with glasses/contact lenses.. to not being able to see at all. Its alot. 1 thing may work for someone and may not for someone else.

some influencers are out here getting breast augmentations but still begrudgingly put in contacts every morning lol… I love that you treated yourself to this you seem so happy with the results!

I always wanted to do lasik and the glasses fog from wearing masks just makes me want to do it even more. But being from the Caribbean, it’s gonna be a whole trip to the US just for the procedure. Saving some coins to get it done because I need it ??

  7. Aminat Iriafen - Personal Finance

I got LASIK in February and it was one of the best decisions I made! It is so nice not having to wear glasses or contacts anymore! I was the worse contact lens wearer. I would leave it in for days.(lmk if u have any questions!)

  8. sensimania

I’d love to do eye laser treatment, but I’ve always been very squeamish when it comes to my eyes. Even when applying makeup, my eyes are uncontrollably straining and watering before the eyeliner even touches it ?

And watching that scene in Final Destination didn’t help matters (if you’ve seen the movie, you’ll know what I’m talking about)
