Thank you for your comment
That was horrific! I’m a Type 1 diabetic and I take care of my feet constantly! I can’t imagine letting my feet ever getting to that point. However, I can understand that if you have diabetic neuropathy and it’s gotten pretty bad. However, as a diabetic, no matter what, you should inspect your feet everyday before you go to bed.
It really gets me as well. However, there is a phenomenon that occurs with diabetics, especially diabetics with Type 1 Diabetes, or diabetics that have to have insulin pump therapy because their pancreas is only working part time. This phenomenon is a version of depression where they have an attitude of they don’t care what happens to them, they will eat whatever the fluck they want. It’s almost a form of bodily suicide. They’ll gladly give up their limbs, quality of life, etc., even if it means that they can eat whatever they want and ignore the consequences. Little do these people, know/understand that you can have a small amount of those things that other people are eating, you just can’t eat a whole cake, a whole pint of ice cream, etc. The problem a lot of these people had in the first place and why they are where they’re at is because they never learned to eat in moderation. So, when they get diagnosed with diabetes, they think that all of those things are “off limits,” and eat those things like they’re going out of style and because they’re told “No.” If they eat like they’re supposed to, they can have a small piece of cake with a small bit of ice cream, but only every once and a while. Besides, if you eat properly, you soon won’t crave those things and learn to appreciate the way natural foods and natural sugars taste! I went through a small “depression” of the sort, but I never lost a foot or body part and through watching these videos on YouTube it made me realize that I better snap out of that problem, or I’ll end up like those idiots! So, now, I take those things super seriously!
I’m not a diabetic, but I never understood how those that are, some times act so carefree in regards to their A1C, etc & then this type of thing happens. Then after they recover, they’ll go do it again! ???♂️
