    I had an earring stuck in my ear only a few years ago, when I was about 14.
    I had no laughing gas or anything, the doctor just shoved it out. And it hurt, as it had kinda grown into my ear! But I was still happy it was out…

    Oliver is a very brave boy. I hope he has a bright future!

      The trick about the earrings is that you aren’t supposed to push the backing tight against the back of the earlobe. Lack of air circulation not only lead to embeddement it can also lead to infection .I just put the backing on the tip of the post, just enough for it to stay on. Then again the mom nor the little girl are the blame. Most likely the little girl pushed it in too tight because she’s too young to understand. I’ve never had such problem at age 5, my ears weren’t even pierced until I was almost 16. That looks painful through, removing a stuck earring . Probably hurt worse than ear piercing, which would also make little girls cry.
